3 years !!!

Posted on June 3, 2017 at 12:15 AM Comments comments (0)

It's been 3 years since I haven't updated here.

I said I come out with a third version of Oscar-Richard in mugen, but this will take toooo loonnng since I'm focusing with other things and work as you know. The spritesheet isn't done yet and I'm doing this too slowly. Sorry for the inconvenience, but I really don't know how long will it take me to finish this. I hope you to keep enjoying the actual versions I got for Oscar and Cady.

Out of work and personal issues, I'm focusing from time to time on my long while NES project, Young Oscar San. Still workig with the graphic motor and managing some collision checking, but actually I'm doing good. I'll post a video soon.

If you want to stay tuned with my stuff, you can follow me on my Tumblr page, such as my Deviantart account.

See ya !! ;)

NES Homebrew Young Oscar San (Work in progress)

Posted on May 21, 2014 at 12:40 AM Comments comments (0)

Well, here is a simple screenshot of what I'm currently doing and where I'm going most of my spare time :P. Young Oscar San in the NES Homebrew family in the future. Of course, this is only for 1% of the project completed, LOL. This scenario will not be in the final version, I'm just doing a few tests, currently dealing with collisions, but I think I'm going well.

As I have said before on here in DA, I've been curious about how I would look first in 8-bit and starting from here to other levels of graphics (possibly me and immediately go to 3D modeling).

This is just the beginning!

I'll see to where I can get.

NES Homebrew Young Oscar San W.I.P. by oscar-richard on deviantART

Just coming back here because there may be people who want to find my stuff easier and faster. As said before I was just looking for another place to stay easier, but I have no case. Anyway, you can still visit my blogspot: http://oscarrichard.blogspot.com

Well I think about doing a third edition of Oscar Richard in Mugen, but rather will be a remake of it. Now I'm just taking time to redo the vast majority of the sprites in order to get as close as possible to his fit and personality as said here: http://oscar-richard.deviantart.com/art/Mugen-Oscar-Richard-2nd-Update-431694040

  ;) so I ask a lot of patience :P, but otherwise ...

... i'm doing this NES game, Young Oscar San. Soon will post screenshots or video of this last detail.

Greetings and I hope you are doing well. ;)

Almost 2013!

As you know, my first animation is 90%  complete. I'm actually adding few details in the background, but I'm planning to enlarge this proyect a little bit more as it came to my mind more things to add to the scene. So I'll do what I can to this frist episode Oscar-Richard animation series.

And I'm also working on the other project of an 8-bit game I have commented long time ago on my DeviantART account, Young Oscar San. It will be a side-scrolling action-adventure game just like Super Mario Bros. style. I actually working on the scrolling section. Yes, I'm still wrestling with that, but I believe I will finish with it someday.

Well, keep staying tuned with my accounts, oh and I'll upload more piks for my projects later on my DA and from time to time, I'll take care for the updates of my mugen characters.

See ya. OR

1st animation en camino :)

Hfff how time passes!! Well, I inform you that I'm actually doing my first Flash Animation. This one is based on one of my main characters, Oscar Richard. As I uploaded a video long ago, the one for Oscar Richar possibly episodes, this time it will be the first episode. And yes, I'm relly thinking about doing more episodes, but I think that will be somedays, may be soon, don't know.

They will be for the moment, without voice actors. Yes, I'm thinking about finding some artists someday, but just time will tell. :D

On the other hand, I'm with other projects, such as the third update for Oscar Richard in Mugen and other kind of 'shit' I like to do. Hope to finish this soon. Be patient :D

You can also join my almost new Facebook page for O.R. (click on the Facebook logo located in 'My other profiles'. I do not accept unknown people on my personal Facebook account, anymore... unless..... you tell me where or how you found me. ;)

Well, I think that's all. See ya !!!

About new Mario and Zelda :D

Posted on November 29, 2011 at 1:45 PM Comments comments (0)

Pff, long time no going here :PPPP

Well, almost busy with other things, you know.

OK, today I'm gonna tell you something I've enjoyed the two last weeks. Well, as you know I got the new Mario and Zelda games. Went to a Videogame store to pick them up. On Nov 13 I picked Super Mario 3D Land, wich was another good Mario game with some nostalgia, just like New Super Mario Bros. Wii.

Yes, it reminded me that super classic Super Mario Bros. 3 for NES. Yes, one reason is that classic tanooki suit, another way to defeat enemies besides the fire flower. The stages are too unique, just like that NES game and it will bring you to a very peculiar world and new way to play a Mario adventure. Of course, as always you have to rescue Princess Peach from that bad Bowser :P To tell you the truth, even the stages are something short, you'll have enought time to explore each one of them entirely. So it will entertein you for a long while by collecting many coins and beating records to the flag. Oh and there's also a new item: the Boomerang suit wich reminds me to the Hammer one from SMB3 :D

One week later I picked up another game wich until now it's more interesting for me:

Yes, the latest Zelda game. Well, the truth, I think this is the Zelda they call "An evolutionary Zelda game" and it's true cause thanks to the WiiRemote (with Motion) and Nunchuk, you can do more peculiar/new moves. Everything in this game (dungeons, characters, strategies, enemies' IQ, etc) is different. A great job Nintendo did I say. With the controllers now you can feel more like you are Link in Hyrule !! Of course in many parts of the game the speaking is a lot, but as you progress in the game, you'll see the action that was waiting for you. Until I've played I like it! some puzzles are harder to resolve so you'll be concentrated a lot in this game.

Oh yeah, from time 2 time, I progress with some of my future projects, you know. Just check my devianART account to see what I've got until now. I'll show the rest of my characters for both worlds: Oscar Richard and Oscar San series.

See ya -.

the Wii U

Posted on August 9, 2011 at 11:05 PM Comments comments (0)

Well, it's been a looong timee like three months since I posted the last entry on this blog, the rumors about Project Cafe. You know, as every person, I'm busy with many things, lol. But, well, anyway, now that E3 has passed two months ago, the new Nintendo console has revealed as you know, the name's Wii U.

Many people got confused about wich one of these is the console and wich one is the controller. According to me the one with hands holding it is the controller, just what Reggie said :P (I think so). At start I didn't get too impressed about the controller. I was hoping it was just like another Wiimote with more buttons. But, as time was passing. I'm liking this tablet a lot, well, it has almost everything, also good for First Person Shooter games. This pad also has L,R,ZL,ZR buttons and it's just like the Classic controller of the Wii, or even more than just a Classic controller :P As I was watching Wii U videos, I saw all its functions (or maybe I mean, almost all): Has move sensor, gyro sensor, microphone, stereo speakers, and obviously, the touch screen with stylus. I got more impressed, then.

At this time I'm sure you saw all the videos of the console. However many of you got more questions about Wii U, like how many tables will support, (this is what I'm worried about)  the graphics (I guess, since they showed some prototipes, but maybe with the bird video) and don't know what else. There are even rumors about two Wii U tables at once, even they say the chip inside will support up to four, but at start, games will use just one at the time. But let see what it really would do:

*  In a FPS game, like Metroid Prime, each player could have their own radar (map) on the touch screen. Even in a Mario Kart game.

*  We could communicate each one with mic and speakers, just like the We Speak accesory on the Wii.

*  We could use the touch screen as a rear-view mirror in a race game.

* Or maybe a secondary character interacting with him/her.

Well, there are many possibilities with the tablet-controller, but just time will tell if they will do all their best. About the Console itself, reminds me the XBox 360 design and the power button and sinc are perfect to reach :D I'm still waiting if there will be a new F-Zero game, oh and also the 4th part of Smash Bros, I want this on my 3DS first in order to bring it with me wherever I go :)

Well, greetings.

About E3 2011 for Nintendo

Posted on May 26, 2011 at 12:07 PM Comments comments (0)

Well, I'm so excited to see what kind of games will show during this upcoming E3. They say they will show up a new Nintendo console codenamed Project Cafe ( you saw my tweets, right? ) and will be playable to see what it got. Can't wait to know it!

About Wii and 3DS, I hope for that upcoming Mario game on 3D. I'd like to see a new smash bros game for 3DS. That would be a great pushing to the just newed 3D console with new characters such as Megaman, Paper Mario, and other more. Of course we haven't a portable Smash Bros and I think it would be great.

I also was hoping for a new Star Fox for Wii since last year ( before they showed Star Fox 64 3D ). Maybe we could use the wiimote just like in Wario Ware Smooth Moves ( that Star Fox minigame in the 9-Volt's boss stage ) even with wii motion plus and shoot several times just like the N64 version. Of course with online mode.

But what Nintendo own us since like three years ago is an F-Zero !!!!!! Like many people, I love F-Zero a lot. You know, high speed, rude attacks, extra boost, long tracks, etc; it is a very good racing game. It's difficulty is not the exception. So I can't believe we don't still have a new F-Zero game, not even on Wii, that would be amazing, I suppose.

I like this one a lot....

.... because of electronic music, as always. LOL. But any way this one is f*kin' awesooommmmmmeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!

But well, there are actually too much rumors about Project Cafe, both the console and the controller, a supposed touch screen in it, a camera, and I don't know what else. Oh and a supposed list of future release games. But for now, they're just RUMORS. So let's wait for E3 which is on June 7-9.

Will be this true? Well, better wait ...

Possibly animated series of Oscar Richard

Yes, I'm thinking about doing some short episodes in Flash about Oscar Richard. There will be non-spoken ones for the moment (I'm also planning about doing the voices). English? Spanish? i'll think about it. I'll export the Mugen sounds for the first episode. Hope everything will be OK.

This is a little demo of an Introduction. So I'll put some background for the final version.

By the way, I'm also trying to fix Oscar and Cady's mugen AI (see in My Mugen Creations) and make them to look less doped as possible. Maybe I'll keep the previous versions.

Peace out!
